Windows Phone Marketplace surpassed 40,000 applications

 

Store for mobile applications for Windows Phone now has over 40,000 applications and games, all applications are added from 10,731 different publishers, reveals research blog AllAboutWindowsPhone who expect that if continues with this tempo, the store will go to 50,000 applications in January 2012.

 

Daily added over 165 applications, and in the last 90 days, 10,882 applications have been added, that in the last 30 days are added to 4770 applications. From the published software 85 percent are applications and 15 percent are games. About 68 percent are free applications, 23 are paid, and 9 percent are paid with a free test version.

 

While this is impressive growth in store for mobile applications on Microsoft is still far behind the Android App Store of Google has over 300,000 applications,that is far behind Apple App Store which has over 500,000 applications and 150,000 applications added after every four months.

 

Microsoft is still in a period of introduction of its new mobile platform Windows Phone 7. Recently emerged prvite Nokia devices, and in 2012 will be followed WP7 smart phones and tablet computers, which will mean more applications. But it depends on how will be successful WP7 platform and must be pointed out on the market where rule Anndroid and iOS.
