What are the new features of Firefox 8?

Mozilla continues its rapid refresh of the web browser, letting in use the eighth version of Firefox just six weeks after being released Firefox 7th. The new, eighth version of Firefox contains several improvements.

One of the most interesting developments is the option for Twitter search at Firefox bar that allows users to search topics, hash-tags and user names from the social network. The possibility of Twitter search is available in English, Japanese, Portuguese and Slavic, and future versions provides support for multiple languages.

Another novelty is that all installed plugins and extensions are automatically disabled, until the user approves. With this move, Mozilla improves the security and privacy on the web browser. Each time user will be asked for permission before he installs any extension or plugin.

The work of the tabs is also improved. So if you reboot the web browser it will open only one tab that is activated, the rest will remain blank until the user activates.

Firefox 8 has improved support for WebGL, a technology that uses hardware features of the machines to better graphics display in a web browser. Android users now will have the option to allow one master password that will protect all stored user names and passwords on the web browser. Good news for developers is that Firefox 8 offers new HTML option that will allow an easy way to add context menu on their web sites and web applications.
