Twitter has reached 250 million tweets per day
CEO of Twitter, Dick Kostolo said the popular social network has 100 million active users, of which even half are active every day. That is an increase compared to the beginning of the year when only 30 percent of users signed up every day. The increased activity seen in the increase of the number of tweets, so now daily on social network are passing 250 million messages packed in 140 characters. Earlier this year the number of daily tweets was just 100 million, in June the figure to be doubled. After promoting iOS5 operating system in which Twitter application is built in, the network received tripled visits more from devices that use this system. Director Kostolo says the goal of Twitter is to reach every person on the planet and that ambition makes the service different from Google Plus and Facebook.
