TED has launched an official iPhone / iPod application

TED, nonprofit organization with a mission to spread ideas worth sharing, for its popular iOS application for iPad released iPhone version. iPhone application allows users to search and watch TED videos with a length of 3 to 18 minutes.

Mobile users are constantly moving, constantly walking ... possible for a new experience for them is that they will be able to listen TED talks on their headphones directly from their pockets. - Said Chris Anderson, curator of TED.

The program has ability to store videos, search features and sharing, tagging and voting. Videos can be searched by keyword, subject or by their popularity. A good side is the possibility of viewing videos offline.

The application for iPhone / iPod, and for  iPad, is running on iOS with 4.3 or newer version. Video streaming works over 3G, but in order to avoid high bills is best to do so via Wi-Fi.
