Revenue increased in the Volkswagen 4.5-fold

In the second quarter 2010 net income of the Volkswagen was 1.25 billion euros, while a year ago, he was in 4,5 times less - 283 million euros. This net profit automaker exceeded 721 million euro, informs Bloomberg.

The major markets, thanks to which VW could achieve high sales, have become China and the U.S., and most profitable vehicles - Volkswagen Golf and Audi A5. In particular, the automaker's operating income in the first half of 2010 in China totaled 804 million euros. In addition, for the first six months on the U.S. market was sold 175.3 thousand cars - a 29 percent increase over the same period last year.

Later, the German company intends to consolidate its position in the U.S. and China and to increase their share of presence. To do this, VW next year will open a plant in the U.S., as well as build in the next four years in China, two companies that will increase production of cars in this country of 1.4 million to three million cars.

Similar plans to increase production analysts seem very real and justified. At the same time they notice that the company Volkswagen demonstrates good sales results worldwide.

In the first half of 2010 concern Volkswagen sold on the Russian market of 55,6 thousand cars - a seven percent increase over the same period last year. In addition, the German automaker took third place in the number of sold cars, yielding AvtoVAZ and concern General Motors.

As previously reported, by 2018, Volkswagen plans to increase sales of its cars to 10 million units per year and take the place of the biggest automaker in the world.
