Nvidia introduced the Tegra 3, the first quad-core processor for mobile devices

Nvidia announced long-awaited Tegra processor, the first quad-core processor designed exclusively for mobile devices. According to Nvidia, Tegra 3 will provide three times better performance than previous dual-core Tegra generation, and it will improve multitasking, Web browsing and application performance.

Tegra 3 debut will have the Tablet PC Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime, which is the better version of the Asus Eee Pad Transformer, with better cameras, more storage space, and of course the new Nvidia processor. According to Asus and Nvidia, new processor Tegra 3 will not consume the battery quickly, allowing you to see even 12 hours of HD video. Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is expected  to be promoted on the market before  New Year, and the price of the Tablet PC will be around $ 500 for version with 32 GB.

The secret to long life of the battery hides in that the Tegra 3, in addition to four major processors, contains  plus one processor that is designed to work instead of the other processors when you perform things that do not require much energy. So, while you surf on the net or tablet computer is not in use, the four main processors are completely excluded, allowing the battery to run longer.
