Microsoft uses Facebook as a laboratory for experiments in games

A little over two weeks ago Microsoft launched the first Facebook game, Waterloo Project , developed at the research laboratory in Cambridge, and is a game  for two players. Waterloo's first game under the umbrella of the project "Research Games" and aims to take a deep analysis of human behavior while playing strategic games on social networks.

Facebook will serve Microsoft as a great laboratory in studying the theory of games . Facebook is the right place for such a move, a massive community of users, many of which used the social games.  Game theory scientists use to detect any trend or what have people make decisions when their  fate is determined by the choice of others.

"The mode of interaction, socialization and communication has changed dramatically in recent years as a result of Internet-based technologies." - written in the official Microsoft site .

Microsoft Research Laboratory is known for specialty in artificial intelligence and development of technology integrated into the xBox Kinect. Game Waterloo, is expected to be the first step in a series of games that could prove valuable experiments on Microsoft in the analysis of the interaction of friends and "pages".
