Microsoft, Yahoo and ΑΟL together against Google and Facebook
Microsoft, Yahoo, and AOL announce partnership for online advertising that will confront rivals Facebook and Google. This partnership will function so that companies will be able to sell advertising spaces. By joining forces these three companies are hoping to save money and increase revenue from ads.
The goal of this partnership is to increase sales of ads in all three companies, making the process of selling ads easier. This partnership should begin early next year, after the companies will integrate their bidding technologies: Yahoo Network Plus, AOL Advertising and the Microsoft Media Network.
Companies have also stated that despite the partnership, their marketing teams will be divided and competitive, compete each other for the market of online marketing.
Google and Facebook currently are leading company on market for online marketing. According to research firm eMarketer, Google online marketing in 2011 will grow by 16.3 percent, while Facebook only in the U.S. will grow by 9.3 percent.
