E-readers are very environmentally friendly devices - do not use paper, and therefore does not require the destruction of trees and entire forests to print books. But now engineers have decided to e-readers turn to eco-readers, releasing them from the need of electricity for charging.

This year's fair for electronics CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the company SolarFocus unveiled tower case for the reader of Amazon, Kindle, which has no need for battery charging on USB, but it shall be sufficient to expose it to sunlight. SolarKindle is tower case for Kindle whereby the device will be charged on the principle of solar energy, writes CNET.

The front of the tower case with dimensions 200h119h18, 3 mm is a solar panel, and on the same side, inside is built LED lamp with strength of 800 lux, which can shine almost 50 hours without a need to charge the main battery of Kindle.

The Kindle you can use three months in an environment with normal sunlight, without need to charge.

Besides the flexibility offered by this mask for Kindle, if you're ever in an environment where it is dark, you are able to charge the backup battery of the SolarKindle with USB, which will increase its duration.
