Intel invented the TV remote control with motion sensor

Specialists from the laboratory Intel Labs and the University of Arizona (Arizona State University) built into the TV remote control motion sensor.

This remote sensor can independently identify users based on how they hold the device in hand. It clarifies Engadget, testimony built into the remote accelerometer will be read every 100 nanoseconds. Thus, in a second position remote in hand will be measured by 10 million times.

During the tests the remote correctly determined the owner with a probability of 60 to 90 percent.

This development will allow the owner of a TV set different settings for access to TV channels. In particular, it will be possible to create different arrangements of channels for each user or block access to particular channels.

Also, new technology can contribute to the demonstration ads targeted to a specific user.
