Google will help you to create mobile websites
Google launched a new initiative that aims to help companies make their websites available for browsing from mobile devices. This initiative is named GoMo, or Go Mobile, which will enable companies to become more mobile.
According to Google, every day more and more people visit web sites through mobile devices. It is likely these visitors not to re-visit those web sites that are not manageable on mobile devices. To avoid this Google has launched a web site howtogomo.com, where you can find resources about what makes a mobile web site good, and how to do it.
This web site allows companies to enter the website address in the tool GoMoMeter and see how it would look like on a smart phone. This tool will analyze a web site and will recommend what should be done to be adjusted for smart phones. The report can be downloaded.
The howtogomo.com can also find infograph and data that will help you to learn more about mobile trends and why it is important to have a mobile version. In addition, included are a number of examples of mobile Web sites and a list of developers who can help you to build a mobile web site. Of course Google's goal with this initiative is to increase mobile advertising business, which this year will bring a profit of 2.5 billion dollars.
