Google prepares its own Tablet

Since the release of iPad in 2010, Apple still has no serious competitor in the market of Tablet PCs. So far there were several attempts, like that of the RIM PlayBook, HP with the TouchPad, but no one even closer to the chance to take down the "apple" from the throne. Now Google is preparing to make a competitor.

Executive Chairman of the company, Eric Schmidt, confirmed that it is preparing its own tablet solution. According to him, tablets should appear for six months and will have superior performance.

Currently the most serious competitor to iPad is significantly cheaper Kindle Fire of Amazon.

The new tablet may create problems to Google's branded tablets that are already developed and should work on their OS Ice Cream Sandwich.

According to some information Nexus will work on Android 4.1, while models with Ice Cream Sandwich will run on version 4.0, which could reject customers from tablets with that operating system.

Asus, Acer and Lenovo in 2012 should publish a few models with version 4.0, but may over time be upgraded with newer software.
However the success of the iPad and Kindle Fire could force some producers to change their strategy for the development of tablet PCs.
