BlackBerry introduced slider Torch

The company introduced a new smartphone RIM BlackBerry Torch 9800 at a press conference held in New York.

The smartphone is a touch-sensitive slider equipped with a qwerty-keyboard. Torch was the first such device in the line of the Canadian company. He goes on sale in showrooms U.S. operator AT & T costs $ 199 with a two-year contract for mobile communications.

The device will be running the new BlackBerry OS 6, which was also represented at the press conference. In addition, RIM has equipped Torch webkit-browser.
