Bayern Munich Ribery defended by French police

Executive Director of the Munich football club Bayern Munich, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge called a politically motivated case midfielder Bayern and the national team of France Franck Ribery, who is charged in relationship with an underage prostitute.

Rummenigge has expressed the view that Ribery made a "scapegoat" for poor performance against France at the World Championships in 2010, where the French were unable to leave the group. Executive Director of Bayern Munich said that the Munich club is concerned about the progress of the case.

The charges 27-year old Ribery presented on July 20. According to investigators, football regularly used the services of prostitutes Zahii Dehar, since April 2009, when the girl is under 18 years. Footballer admitted that he engaged in connection with Dehar, but said that he did not know that the girl was a minor.

Similar charges police filed a football player and another team of France - Karim Benzema, who stands for Real Madrid. If guilt is proven players, they face three years in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros.
